Cloud Cats’ Land Review – A Cozy Point & Click Adventure

Cloud Cats’ Land is a cozy point-and-click adventure from indie studio PurrMurrMeow Games, released on PC in late August 2025. It puts you in the paws of cats stranded on a whimsical island, solving puzzles and uncovering secrets as you work your way toward safety. At first glance it feels like comfort food, and in practice it mostly delivers on that promise.

Gameplay & Mechanics

The structure is familiar. You explore environments, collect items, and combine them to solve puzzles and move forward. It’s simple to pick up and usually satisfying, with playful solutions that keep the mood light. Most puzzles flow nicely, but there are moments where the logic slips into the obscure and progress can feel less rewarding.

That said, the developers have already addressed some of these issues. A September 2 update added difficulty settings and a new hint system that makes the game more accessible to both casual players and puzzle veterans. On the easiest setting, interaction points can be highlighted directly, while harder modes keep the challenge intact. It’s a thoughtful addition that smooths out the experience without watering it down.

Visuals & Art Style

This is the strongest part of the game. The island is hand-painted with bright colors and lots of character, making every area feel inviting. The cats are designed with clear personality and are as charming as you would expect. Occasionally an important object blends in a little too well, but the presentation as a whole is polished and full of charm.

Audio & Music

The soundtrack is gentle and atmospheric, pairing well with the relaxed pace of the game. Background sounds like waves or soft purrs help sell the setting. The music isn’t something you’ll remember long after playing, but it fits the mood and never gets in the way.

Extra Features

The same September update also added Steam Deck support and more graphics options, which makes the game run well on a wider range of setups. It’s not the most demanding title out there, but it’s nice to see care taken in making sure it plays smoothly whether you’re on desktop or handheld.

Verdict

Cloud Cats’ Land doesn’t try to change what a point-and-click adventure is. Instead, it offers a short and relaxing experience with enough heart and humor to make it stand out. Some uneven puzzles and a fairly brief runtime stop it from reaching higher, but it is still an easy recommendation for anyone who enjoys cozy puzzle adventures or simply loves cats.

8 Score

Great

Charming visuals and relaxing gameplay make Cloud Cats’ Land a cozy point-and-click adventure worth a look, even if its short length and uneven puzzles hold it back.
